The relationship between prose, poetic writing and image as juxtaposed within my natural history books.
An exploration of the nature of (wildlife) poetry and its interplay with the photographic images within my books, the function of the particular language of poetry in capturing the essence/elements of a wildlife encounter which prose does not or is unable to do, the reasons for the current popular perception of poetry as a ‘difficult’ art form or a medium which may easily be reduced to the trite or banal, the relationship of poetry with music (the highest art form) through its rhythm and cadence, as well as the inspiration for artwork of both poetry and the photographic image.
This will be followed by the opportunity to purchase and have signed Stuart’s publications.
