Each year Ospreys from the UK undertake an epic 3000 migration to West Africa. Osprey expert Dr Tim Mackrill will explain how satellite tracking has helped unravel the mysteries of these incredible journeys, including how the birds navigate, battle adverse weather and perform incredible feats of endurance.

He’ll also discuss his travels to see wintering Ospreys in West Africa and explain how the journeys of the birds inspired him to set-up a new charity, the Osprey Leadership Foundation, which aims to inspire and enable the next generation of conservation leaders in different countries on the Osprey’s flyway.
