The significance of connecting with nature is increasingly being recognised as vitally important for human wellbeing.
Even passive examples such as walking through green space, hearing bird calls and having views of natural landscapes has been shown to increase the speed of healing, reduce anxiety and improve psychological health.
Although the feeding of garden birds is familiar and commonplace, it is also one of the most potent yet simply ways to benefit humans – as well as nature – in sometimes profound ways.
