In this highly entertaining and unusual talk, Mark Carwardine plays some of his favourite wildlife sounds – a weird and wonderful collection of beautiful to downright mind-bending songs, calls, warbles, screams and babbles from around the world.
A whale that can sing two songs simultaneously, an Arctic seal that sounds as if it is trapped under the ice, a bird with a song like Pink Floyd studio outtakes, a mysterious creature that keeps Californians awake at night, a nocturnal animal with such an eerie call it could have been the soundtrack of The Blair Witch Project … and, of course, some of the most evocative and beautiful songs in the natural world.
Along the way, Mark will chat about some of his most memorable, exciting and thought-provoking wildlife encounters.
