Orthoptera (grasshoppers and crickets) are often an overlooked group of insects but they are incredibly fascinating. There are fewer than 30 species in the UK, and are relatively easy to identify, making them one of the best groups for a beginner to start learning. This lecture will introduce you to some of the common species and how to identify them.
