The ‘Remembering Wildlife’ charity book-series was created by photographer Margot Raggett after she saw a poached elephant in 2014. She enlisted the support of many of the world’s top wildlife photographers to donate images to her books and so far has raised more than £315,000 for conservation projects in Africa and Asia via charity partner The Born Free Foundation.
In this session, book contributors Jonathan & Angela Scott and Mark Carwardine will talk about the subjects of the first two books, elephants and rhinos respectively, and why they feel strongly that wildlife photography must be used for the purpose of conservation. Margot Raggett will then share her experiences of putting together the books and give a sneak preview of the forthcoming Remembering Great Apes book which will be published in the autumn.
