Thanks to an amazing grant from the city of Toyooka in Japan, Birdfair will have a fantastic new area dedicated to our young visitors.
A large marquee will be the hub of a weekend of entertainment ranging from plays, storytelling, films, guided walks, virtual pond dipping, mini-talks, origami sessions, a puffin mural, young folks debates to name but a few from a growing list of great activities.
TV stars from the natural world will entertain the audiences including Mike Dilger, Nick Baker, Jules Howard, Adrian Cale, while authors Anneliese Emmans Dean, Edward Giles and Vicky Woodgate will read or perform a variety of shows.
Forest school type activities, from hedge laying to making your own “Harry Potter” style wands will give a new experiences bringing youngsters closer to nature.
